Description of Sliding Rails Kit

Each rail has these parts:

Outer rail part

The outer rail part attaches to the rack.

The outer rail part has these ends:

  • Front end: Has round pins. Install this end on the side of the rack from which you pull out the appliance for servicing.

  • Rear end: Has square pins. Install this end on the opposite side of the rack.

To attach the outer rail part to the rack:

  1. Detach the inner rail part from the rail.

    Note:

    You can also detach the inner rail part after you attach the outer rail part to the rack.

  2. Attach the rear end of the outer rail part:

    1. Make sure that the latch is on the inner side of the rack, where the appliance will be installed.

    2. Move the latch aside.

    3. Insert the square pins into the rack holes.

    4. Push the rail end fully into the rack.

    5. Close the latch on the rack.

  3. Attach the front end of the outer rail part:

    1. Insert the round pins into the rack holes.

    2. Push the rail end into the rack until the latch locks.

Middle rail parts

The two middle rail parts connect the outer rail part to the inner rail part.

  • You cannot detach the middle rail parts.

  • When you fully extend the middle rail parts, a latch locks them in position.

To unlock the middle rail parts:

  1. Press the latch in the direction of the arrow.

  2. While you press the latch, slide one middle rail part into the other.

Inner rail part

The inner rail part attaches to the appliance.

You can detach the inner rail part from the other rail parts.

To detach the inner rail part:

  1. Pull out the inner rail part as far as possible.

  2. Pull the white plastic latch in the direction of the arrow.

  3. Pull the inner rail part out of the middle rail part.

To insert the detached inner rail part:

  1. Align the inner rail part with the middle rail part.

  2. Insert the inner rail part into the middle rail part in the correct orientation.

Attaching the Inner Rail Parts to the Appliance

  1. Put the appliance on a stable, horizontal surface.

  2. Put the correct side of the appliance on the horizontal surface.

    Make sure that the labels on the front panel are in their correct orientation.

  3. Position the inner rail part on the side of the appliance.

  4. Make sure that the blue plastic latch is near the front panel of the appliance.

  5. Align the first hole in the inner rail part, near the blue plastic latch, with the first threaded hole on the appliance.

  6. Install the four M3x3 screws.

  7. Tighten all four screws.

  8. Repeat the procedure for the inner rail part on the other side of the appliance.
