Console Ports on MHO-200

About the Console Ports

On the rear panel, the Console ports provide access to the Gaia OS on the Orchestrator (see Rear Panel of MHO-200).

You use this port for initial configuration and debugging.

Orchestrator has two console ports:

  • RJ45

  • USB-C

Note:

Only one console connection is active at a time.

Orchestrator automatically detects which cable is plugged in.

If you connect to both console ports at the same time, the USB-C port has priority.

RJ45 Serial Console Port

  1. Connect a standard RJ45 console cable (Cisco pinout) between these:

    1. The Orchestrator - the RJ45 port CONSOLE.

    2. Your workstation - a serial port or a USB-to-serial adapter.

  2. On your workstation, open a terminal emulator (e.g., PuTTY, SecureCRT, MobaXterm, minicom, etc.) and configure the session with these parameters:

    Parameter

    Setting

    Baud Rate

    9600

USB-C Console Port

  1. Connect a USB-C cable between:

    1. Orchestrator - the USB-C port CONSOLE.

    2. Your workstation - a USB port.

  2. Install the required drivers, if prompted by the operating system on your workstation.

Orchestrator enumerates as a virtual serial (CDC-ACM) device.

  3. On your workstation, open a terminal emulator (e.g., PuTTY, SecureCRT, MobaXterm, minicom, etc.) and configure the session with these parameters:
