Managing Orchestrator Ports

You can see the information about Orchestrator Ports and change their settings.

Managing Orchestrator Ports in Gaia Portal

Starting in R82, Gaia Portal shows a dedicated page:

In the Orchestrator Management section, click the Ports page.

The top toolbar shows these items (in the "Table" view):

Table

Shows the ports in a table (this is the default view).

This table shows:

  • Port Status

  • Physical Port ID

  • Port Type

  • Interface Name in Gaia OS

  • Security Groups, to which this port is assigned

  • Transceiver State

  • MTU

  • QSFP Mode

  • Auto-Negotiation State

  • RX Throughput (frames/sec)

  • TX Throughput (frames/sec)

You can right-click a port and click the applicable option:

  • Edit Port

  • Blink LED

  • Diagnostics

Map

Shows the ports in a visual map.

This map shows a visual representation of the front panel for each Orchestrator on this Site.

Different icons on the ports represent different states.

The legend for each icon appears in the top right corner.

If you left-click a port, then the bottom part of the page shows the port details.

You can right-click a port and click the applicable option:

  • Edit Port

  • Blink LED

  • Diagnostics

 

Edit

Opens an port configuration window for the selected port.

In this window, you can configure these port settings:

  • Change the administrative state of this port on the required Sites

  • Enable or disable the auto-negiotation in this port on the required Sites

  • Configure the MTU

  • Select the port speed (QSFP Mode)

  • Select the port type (Management, Internal Site Sync, External Site Sync, Uplink, Downlink)

 

Blink LED

Forces the LED to blink in the selected port.

This helps you find this port on the front panel.

 

Diagnostics

Runs a short diagnostics on the port.

 

Shows the number of ports in the administratively down state.

 

Shows the number of ports in the "down" state.

 

Shows the number of ports in the "up" state.
