asg hw_monitor

This command is supported only on:

  • Scalable Chassis

Note - You can run this command in Gaia gClish or in the Expert mode.

Description

Shows the hardware information and thresholds for the monitored components:

  • For Chassis Management Modules (CMMs) - Installed, Active, or Standby

  • For Security Switch Modules (SSMs) - Throughput rates

  • For Security Gateway Modules (SGMs) - CPU temperature for each socket

  • Power Supply Unit - Installed or not installed, and the PSU fan speed

  • Speed of fans in Scalable Chassis

  • Power consumption for each Scalable Chassis

Syntax

asg hw_monitor [-v] [-f <Filter>]

  • Fan

Value Threshold Units

Most components have a defined threshold value.

The threshold gives an indication of the health and functionality of the component.

When the value of the resource is greater than the threshold, the Scalable Chassis generates a system alert (see asg alert).

State

Valid values:

  • 0 = Component is not installed

  • 1 = Component is installed
