Getting Started with Harmony Connect

Accessing the Harmony Connect Administrator Portal

To use Harmony Connect, you must create an account at the Check Point Infinity Portal.

Notes

  • When you register, you create an account in the Infinity Portal but you do not automatically log in to any specific security service. In the free 30-day trial version, you can log into the Harmony Connect service, connect branch offices to a single cloudClosed An administrator approved Harmony Connect cloud location that processes the internet and corporate traffic. service location, and provide security for a maximum of 200 users. For full Harmony Connect functionality, you must purchase a software license. For more information about licensing, contact your Check Point Sales representative, or see the Infinity Portal > Global Settings > Contracts page.

  • The system activates the Hibernate mode on unlicensed inactive accounts. For more information see Appendix C - Hibernate Mode.

To navigate to your Harmony Connect service from the Infinity Portal window:

  1. Click the Menu button in the top left corner of the Infinity Portal window.

  2. From the Harmony group, select Connect:

  3. On the Getting Started page that opens, you can select How and Where From your users connect to the internet.

    You have three options:

Specific Service Roles

Harmony Connect supports specific service roles. The specific service roles are in addition to the global roles and do not override them. For more information, see Specific Service Roles in the Infinity Portal Administration Guide.

To access Specific Service Roles, go to Global Settings > Users > New > Add User.

Description

Admin

Can read and modify every administrative setting.

Read-Only

Provides full visibility across your Infinity Account.

Direct Access Admin

Harmony Connect Read-Write user role to directly access Management instance and SmartConsoleClosed Check Point GUI application used to manage a Check Point environment - configure Security Policies, configure devices, monitor products and events, install updates, and so on. with restricted write permissions.

Direct Access Read-Only

Harmony Connect Read-Only user role to directly access Management instance and SmartConsole.

Manage Admin Sessions

Discard in-process changes of other administrators.

Support Contact Point

Check Point System will contact this admin directly by email for any proactive support issue, planned maintenance or any unplanned maintenance operations.
