This command is supported only on these:

ElasticXL Cluster
Maestro Orchestrator
Maestro Security Group
Scalable Chassis Security Group

Note - Starting from R82, you can run this command in Gaia gClish or in the Expert mode.

(In R81.20 and lower, you must run this command in the Expert mode.)

Description

This commands moves you from the current shell to the shell on the specified target in the Scalable Platform.

Notes:

To see the built-in help, run:

member -h
The command "m" is the alias for the command "member".
After you run this command, the shell prompt changes to show the target ID.
To exit from the target shell and return to the previous shell, run:

exit

Syntax on ElasticXL Cluster

Explanation

In the ElasticXL Cluster, this commands moves you from the current shell in the Security Group to the shell in the specified Security Group Member:

member <ID of Site>_<ID of Security Group Member>

member <ID of Security Group Member>

Parameter

Description

<ID of Site>

Specifies the ID of the Site.

This is mandatory in Dual Site.

This is optional in Single Site.

ID of Security Group Member

Specifies the ID of the target Security Group Member in the target Security Group.

Example for the Security Group Member #2 on Site 2 in Dual Site:

member 2_2

Example for the Security Group Member #2 in Single Site:

m 2

Syntax on Maestro Orchestrator

Explanation

This commands moves you from the current shell on the Maestro Orchestrator to the shell on the specified Security Group Member.

member <ID of Security Group> <ID of Security Group Member>

Parameter	Description
`<ID of Security Group>`	Specifies the ID of the target Security Group.
`ID of Security Group Member`	Specifies the ID of the target Security Group Member in the target Security Group.

Example for the Security Group #1 and the Security Group Member #5:

Syntax on Maestro Security Group

Explanation

In the Maestro Security Group, this commands moves you:

From the current shell in the Maestro Security Group to the shell in the specified Security Group Member.

member <ID of Site>_<ID of Security Group Member>

member <ID of Security Group Member>

From the current shell in the Security Group Member to the shell on the specified Maestro Orchestrator on the current Site.

member {ssm1 | ssm2}

Specifies the ID of the Site.

This is mandatory in Dual Site.

This is optional in Single Site.

ID of Security Group Member

Specifies the ID of the target Security Group Member in the target Security Group.

ssm1

Specifies the ID of the Maestro Orchestrator on the current Site:

ssm1 - Orchestrator #1 on the current Site
ssm2 - Orchestrator #2 on the current Site

Example for the Security Group Member #5 on Site 2 in Dual Site:

Syntax on Scalable Chassis

Explanation

On the Scalable Chassis, this commands moves you:

From the current shell to the shell in the specified Security Group Member:

member <ID of Site>_<ID of Security Group Member>

member <ID of Security Group Member>

From the current shell to the shell in the specified Security Switch Module (SSM):

member {ssm1 | ssm2 | ssm3 | ssm4}

From the current shell to the shell in the Chassis Management Module (CMM):

member cmm

Parameter	Description
`<ID of Site>`	Specifies the ID of the Site. This is mandatory in Dual Site. This is optional in Single Site.
`ID of Security Group Member`	Specifies the ID of the target Security Group Member in the target Security Group.
`ssm1` `ssm2` `ssm3` `ssm4`	Specifies the ID of the SSM on the current Scalable Chassis: `ssm1` - SSM #1 on the current Scalable Chassis `ssm2` - SSM #2 on the current Scalable Chassis `ssm3` - SSM #3 on the current Scalable Chassis `ssm4` - SSM #4 on the current Scalable Chassis
`cmm`	Specifies the context of the CMM.
