Anti-Malware Updates
The Anti-Malware Updates page shows the status of the Local Endpoint Server's Anti-Malware signature updates from which the Endpoint Security Client's Anti-Malware capability downloads the signatures. This is applicable if you have selected Local Endpoint Server in Policy > Threat Prevention > Policy Capabilities > Web & Files Protection > Advanced Settings > Files Protection > Signature > Signature Source.
The Local Endpoint Server for Anti-Malware Signature updates is supported for these types of Endpoint Security clients:
| Client | Anti-Malware Signatures |
|---|---|
Linux |
Linux Signatures |
| Windows DHS compliant | Windows DHS-Compliant & macOS Signatures |
macOS DHS compliant |
|
Windows non-DHS compliant |
Windows non DHS-Compliant Signatures |
-
To check for updates, click Check for Updates on the required tile.
-
To manually update the signatures, click Update Manually, and select the signature file in the supported file format and name.
The Endpoint Security client can have either a DHS compliant or a non-DHS compliant Anti-Malware capability. For example, if your Endpoint Security client has a DHS compliant Anti-Malware capability, then the Windows non DHS-Compliant Signatures tile shows Download and Install Engine. Before you download and install a non-DHS compliant Anti-Malware capability, consult with Check Point Support.
