Concurrent Connections

The Concurrent Connections widget shows the total number of concurrent connections.

Packet Drops

The Packet Drops widget shows the number of packets dropped by Check Point Firewall Software Blades.

The widget shows data in these categories:
  • Overall - Shows the total number of packet drops during the selected time frame.
  • By Reason - Shows the number of packet drops for each component and the reason for drop.
  • By WAN Link - Shows the packet drops for SD-WAN links.
    Note:
    The By WAN Link section is displayed only if your system contains gateway assets with SD-WAN managed by Smart-1 Unified Management.

Network Drops

The Network Drops widget shows the total number of dropped packets received and transmitted since boot.

Throughput (bits/sec)

The Throughput (bits/sec) widget shows:

  • Overall - The overall rate of successfully received and transmitted data over the communication channels.

  • By interface - The rate of successfully received and transmitted data split by individual interfaces.

  • By WAN Link - The rate of successfully received and transmitted data split by individual WAN links.

    The By WAN Link section is displayed only if your system contains gateway assets with SD-WAN that is managed by Smart-1 Unified Management.

Throughput (packets/sec)

The Throughput (packets/sec) widget shows:

  • Overall - The overall rate of successfully received and transmitted packets over the communication channels.

  • By Interface - The rate of successfully received and transmitted packets split by individual interfaces.

  • By WAN Link - The rate of successfully received and transmitted packets split by individual WAN links.

Connection Rate

The Connection Rate widget displays the number of connections per second that were successfully forwarded by the gateway.
Note:
Dropped connections are tracked separately in the Connection Drops widget. Both graphs measure traffic from the same pool of attempted connections. So it is expected that the dropped rate to exceed the sent rate under high load or when policy rules block significant traffic. This is not a measurement error. To assess overall connection health, review both graphs together: sent + dropped connections = total attempted connection rate at any given time.

WAN Links Performance

The WAN Links Performance section is displayed only if your system contains gateway assets with SD-WAN that is managed by Smart-1 Unified Management.
The WAN Links Performance section displays the performance of SD-WAN links in these categories:
  • Latency
  • Jitter
  • Packet Loss
The Trend tab shows historical data and the Current tab shows real-time values. You can filter the performance data for each steering object using the filter at the top-right corner.

Latency

The Latency widget shows the time, in milliseconds, that packets take to travel across each WAN link for the selected steering object.

Jitter

The Jitter widget shows the variation, in milliseconds, in packet arrival times across each WAN link for the selected steering object.

Packet Loss

The Packet Loss widget shows the percentage of packets lost across each WAN link for the selected steering object.
