fw repairlog

Description

Check Point Security log file ($FWDIR/log/*.log) and Audit log files ($FWDIR/log/*.adtlog) are databases, with special pointer files.

If these log pointer files become corrupted (which causes the inability to read the log file), this command can rebuild them.

fw [-d] repairlog [-u] <Name of Log File>

Parameters

Parameter

Description

-d

Runs the command in debug mode.

Use only if you troubleshoot the command itself.

Best Practice - If you use this parameter, then redirect the output to a file, or use the script command to save the entire CLI session.

-u

Specifies to rebuild the unification chains in the log file.

<Name of Log File>

The name of the log file to repair.
