evstart

Description

On a dedicated SmartEvent Server or on a Security Management Server with the enabled SmartEvent Server and SmartEvent Correlation Unit Software Blades, this command:

  • Starts the SmartEvent Server and the SmartEvent Correlation Unit services, if you stopped them with the "evstop" command (see evstop).

  • Starts only the SmartEvent Correlation Unit service, if you stopped it with the "evstop" command (see evstop).

Important:

  • You can run this command only in the Expert mode.

  • SmartEvent Server runs this command automatically:

    • During boot.

    • When you run the "cpstart" command (see cpstart).
