OpenAI Enterprise Integration

The OpenAI Enterprise integration connects your workspace to OpenAI through a compliance-controlled API and provides visibility into OpenAI usage within your organization.

After you configure the integration, the system retrieves data from OpenAI and adds discovered agents to the inventory, where you can review and manage them.

This integration complements other data collection methods and helps you identify AI usage that is not detected automatically.

Prerequisites

Before you configure the integration, make sure that:

• Your organization has an active ChatGPT Enterprise plan.

• Access to the Compliance API is enabled in your OpenAI organization.

• You have permissions to access the OpenAI admin console.

To configure the integration:

1. From the left menu, select Integrations and then click OpenAI Enterprise.

2. Follow the onscreen instructions:

   1. Log in to the OpenAI admin console at https://platform.openai.com.

   2. Go to Organization Settings > Compliance & Security.

   3. Create or copy these values:

      • Compliance API key

      • Workspace ID

3. On the Workforce AI Security portal, click Configure Integration.

4. In the integration settings, enter the values of Workspace ID and API key.

5. Click Save.

Notes: This integration does not use a standard OpenAI API key. It requires a Compliance API key, which applies additional security and policy controls. The Compliance API ensures that all requests comply with your organization’s data handling rules. If the Compliance API is not enabled in your OpenAI organization, you cannot configure this integration.

After you save the integration, Workforce AI Security automatically connects to your OpenAI organization and retrieves AI agent data. Discovered agents appear in the Inventory, where you can review and manage them.
