Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) Services

Check Point MSSPClosed Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) - An managed security service provider (MSSP) provides outsourced monitoring and management of security devices and systems. Common services include managed firewall, intrusion detection, virtual private network, vulnerability scanning and anti-viral services. Partners and Distributors can use Infinity Portal Pay-As-You-Go (PAYG) services to bill their customers (child accounts) based on usage. PAYG is offered at the service level rather than globally. For example, an MSSP Partner can select to approve PAYG for Harmony Mobile but not for Harmony Endpoint.

PAYG is available for these services:

  • Harmony Mobile

  • Harmony Email & Collaboration

  • Harmony Endpoint

You must have permission from the parent account to sell PAYG services. For example, Acme Corp. is an MSSP that wants to sell PAYG services to its customers. Cyber Inc. is the Check Point Distributor for Acme Corp. Acme Corp. can sell PAYG services only if it has permission from Cyber Inc.

  1. In the Infinity Portal, from the top menu, click > Manage Accounts.

  2. In the table, select a child account of type MSSP.

  3. From the toolbar above the table, click Edit Account.

  4. Set Enable Payg Contracts to ON.

  5. Click Apply.

  1. In the Infinity Portal, click > Services & Contracts.

  2. In the top right, click Pay-As-You-Go Services.

    A list of Approved Services appears. These are the PAYG services that the MSSP can sell to customers.

  1. In the Infinity Portal, navigate to > Manage Accounts.

  2. In the table, select an account.

  3. From the toolbar above the table, click Add Contract.

    The Add Contract window opens.

  4. In the Add Contract window:

    1. Select a service to add to the child account.

    2. Select a contract type for the selected service. Currently, only PAYG is supported.

    3. Select a Package (SKU) to apply to this specific contract.

    4. Optional: If AddOn packages are available, select one or more AddOn packages to add to the contract.

    5. Optional: For Limit units, select the checkbox and enter a unit value for the limit. The effect of the unit limitation on a service is defined in the service.

    6. If there is a checkbox to accept the terms of service, select it.

    7. Click ADD CONTRACT.

      If you previously added the service to the child account with a trial contract, the service is now available with the PAYG contract.

      If you did not add the service with a trial contract, continue to the next step to activate the service.

  5. To activate the service:

    1. In the table, hover over the arrow icon to the right of the child account's name.
      If you cannot find the child account in the table, enter the child account's name in the search bar.

    2. In the Account Link window that opens, click Yes to change accounts.

      The child account opens.

    3. Click the menu button.

    4. Open the service.

    5. If there is a checkbox to accept the terms of service, select it.

    6. Click Try Now.

  1. In the Infinity Portal, navigate to > Manage Accounts.

  2. In the table, select an account.

  3. In the lower pane > Services & Contracts tab > click .

  4. In the Edit Contract window that opens, adjust the limit to as necessary.

  5. Click Apply Changes.

Warning - This action cannot be undone.

  1. In the Infinity Portal, navigate to > Manage Accounts.

  2. In the table, select an account.

  3. In the lower pane > Services & Contracts tab, click Terminate.

    The Terminate Contract window opens.

  4. Click Terminate.
