User Authentication Mode

You can set an authentication mode for the Harmony Connect App when accessing internet or your corporate network.

Supported authentication modes:

  • Seamless Authentication - Users are prompted to authenticate only when they register with app for the first time. This mode applies to both internet access and corporate network access.

  • Corporate Access Authentication - Users are prompted to authenticate at preset intervals. This mode applies only to corporate network access. For example, if the preset interval is six hours, then the user is prompted to authenticate every six hours when they access the corporate network.

Note - If users cannot access a non-web application on your corporate network, such as an SSH or RDP application, the authentication might be expired. To determine if the authentication has expired, try to access a web application on your corporate network . If the authentication expired, a prompt appears to authenticate. Upon authentication, the user can access the SSH or the RDP application.

To set a user authentication mode:

  1. Go to Settings > User Authentication.

  2. Do one of these:

    • Click Seamless Authentication.

    • Click Corporate Access Authentication, and in the Prompt the user to authenticate every ___ hours field, enter the interval duration. Supported range is 1-24 hours.

  3. Click Apply Changes.

The system applies the changes the next time the Harmony Connect App connects to Harmony Connect.
