Internal Assets

An internal asset can include a combination of domains, URLs, and IP addresses, grouped into a single named object that can be referenced across multiple policies.

Note - Each asset must have a unique name. Duplicate names cannot be created.

Internal Asset Details

Asset Details display information about an internal asset.

Field

Description

Name

Name of the internal asset.

Number of Entries

Number of domains, URLs, and IP addresses included in the asset.

Used in Policies

Policies where the asset is referenced.

Added Date

Date when the asset was created.

Added By

The administrator who created the asset.

Comments

Optional comments associated with the asset.

Creating an Asset

  1. Go to Objects > Internal Assets.

  2. Select Add Asset.

  3. In the Asset name field, enter a name.

  4. In the Domains, URLs & IP Addresses field, add entries such as domains, URLs, or IP addresses.

  5. (Optional) Enable Include all subdomains to automatically apply the configuration to all associated subdomains of the specified domain.

  6. Click Save.

After an asset is created, it becomes available for selection in Secure Browsing and Access Control policies.

Editing an Internal Asset

  1. Go to Objects > Internal Assets.

  2. From the asset list, select the internal asset you want to edit.

    The asset details appear in the right navigation pane.

  3. In the Domains, URLs & IP Addresses field, add or remove domains, URLs, or IP addresses as required.

  4. (Optional) Select or clear Include all subdomains to control whether subdomains are included.

  5. In the Comments field, enter or update descriptive notes for the asset.

  6. Review the Used in policies section to understand where the asset is referenced.

  7. Click Save.

Deleting an Internal Asset

To delete an internal asset:

  1. Go to Objects > Internal Assets.

  2. From the asset list, select the internal asset you want to delete.

  3. Review the Used in policies information to identify any policies that reference the asset.

  4. In the Delete Group pop-up, click Delete.

Internal Asset Details (Details Pane)

Selecting an internal asset opens a detailed pane with additional asset information.
