On the MDSMS, examine this log file for API calls:

/home/admin/MDM/MDS_config_API.log

 

On the MDSMS, examine this general log file:

/home/admin/MDM/MDS_config.log

  1. Examine the log files for the failure reason.

  2. Refer to the Check Point Management API Reference (at the top, select the correct version) to make sure the relevant API commands are executed with the required and correct parameters.

  3. Run the "config_mds.py" script again.

  1. Examine the log files for the failure reason.

  2. Refer to the Check Point Management API Reference (at the top, select the correct version) to make sure the relevant API commands are executed with the required and correct parameters.

  3. Run the "createDomain.py" script again.

  • Failure to configure the trusted client.

  • Failure to in Global Policy Assignment.

  • Failure to configure a Domain administrator.

  • Localhost failure.

On the MDSMS, examine this general log file:

  1. Examine the log files for the failure reason.

  2. Connect with SmartConsole to the Multi-Domain Security Management Server to the "MDS" context.

  3. Manually execute the failed step in SmartConsole.

  • Failure to configure the default policy package

On the MDSMS, examine this log file for API calls:

/home/admin/MDM/createDomainApi.log

 

On the MDSMS, examine this general log file:

/home/admin/MDM/createDomain.log

  1. Connect with SmartConsole to the Multi-Domain Security Management Server to the "MDS" context.

  2. In SmartConsole, delete the new Domain.

  3. In SmartConsole, delete the new administrator.

  4. Close SmartConsole.

  5. Run the "createDomain.py" script again.

  • Policy installation failure.

On the MDSMS, examine this log file for API calls:

/home/admin/MDM/createDomainApi.log

 

On the MDSMS, examine this general log file:

/home/admin/MDM/createDomain.log

  1. Connect with SmartConsole to the new Domain.

  2. Manually install the policy called "AIFF_Default".
