You can install the Splunk App with the Splunk WebUI or use the Splunk Command Line Interface (CLI).

Installing the App from the Splunk WebUI

To install the app:

1. Log in to the Splunk WebUI and click the gear icon next to Apps.

   

2. Click Install app from file.

   

3. Click Choose file, locate the TA-checkpoint_response.spl file and click Upload.

   

4. Restart the Splunk Instance for the changes to take effect.

Installing the App from the Command Line Interface

To install the app:

1. Copy the TA-checkpoint_response.spl file on to the Splunk server.
2. To install the app, run:

   cd $SPLUNK_HOME/bin ./splunk install app TA-checkpoint_response.spl

3. When prompted, enter the Splunk User Name and Password.
4. Restart Splunk.

Installing the App and Add-on in a Distributed Splunk Environment

Install and configure the Check Point Adaptive Response Add-on for Splunk on a Search Head Instance only if Splunk Enterprise Security Suite is present.
