Showing Security Management Server Status

To show the status of an SMP Server:

  1. Go to System > SMP Servers.

    The SMP Servers window opens and shows a list of servers.

  2. Click the server name.

    The Server window opens and shows the General page in the Configure tab.

  3. Click SMS Module.

    The table below lists the fields that show.

  4. To refresh the data on this page, click Refresh.

    Field

    Description

    Name

    The SMS name.

    Created

    The date and time the SMS was added to the SMP.

    Last Modified

    The date and time the SMS was last modified.

    Server is

    • Up - The SMS is active.

    • Down - The SMS is not active or cannot be reached due to a network problem.

    • Disabled - The SMS is disabled.

    • Up (with Errors) - The SMS is active, but there are errors.

    Version

    The SMS version number

    Address

    The Management Server's IP address and port number in the format:
    <IP Address>:<Port Number>

    NAT IP

    The IP address of the NAT device behind which the SMS is located.

    If the SMS is not located behind a NAT device, this field displays N/A.

    Certificate will expire on

    The date the Management Server's certificate expires, in the format:

    Month DD, YYYY

    Up Since

    The date and time when the SMS last started.

    Downloads

    The number of gateways currently downloading software from the SMS.

    To view all downloading gateways, click View.

    Modules

    For each module that is enabled in the server, the status in this SMS:

    • ON - The service is enabled in the SMS.

    • OFF - The service is disabled in the SMS.

    • FAIL - The service has failed.

    Database - Primary

    Indicates the primary database's status, followed by the database's name:

    • Active - The primary database is enabled.

    • Standby - The primary database is disabled.

    Database - Secondary

    Indicates the secondary database's status, followed by the database's name:

    • Active - The secondary database is enabled.

    • Standby - The secondary database is disabled.

    • N/A - No secondary database is configured.

To delete an SMP Server:

  1. Go to System > SMP Servers.

    The SMP Server window opens and shows a list of servers.

  2. Click the Delete icon in the server's row. 

    A confirmation message opens.

  3. Click OK.

    The SMP Server is deleted.
