Periodic Backup

By default, all gateways subscribed to the plan take their backup settings from the plan. The backup file backs up the settings for each gateway in a separate zip file.

The naming convention of the file:

<gateway name>_<firmware version>_<date: YYYY-MM-DD_HH_MM_SS>.zip

You can back up your files on a file server or in the cloud (recommended).

Cloud Backup

Starting from R81.10.05, you can back up gateway files to cloud storage, and then download these files directly from the SMP Portal.

  • No need to run a 3rd party file server such as FTP.

  • After you select the time interval for periodic cloud backups to occur, the backup file is automatically uploaded to cloud storage.
