set message type banner

In the R81.10.X releases, this command is available in these versions:

R81.10.10 Build 996002945 and higher
R81.10.15 and higher

Description

Configure a banner, a message that users see before they log in.

Note - You only see the banner before you enter your credentials. If the gateway remembers your login credentials, you immediately see the Message of the Day (if configured).

Syntax

set message type banner 
      msgvalue "Text" 
      { on | off }

To add a new banner message:

set message type banner msgvalue "Text for Line 1" on

To add a new line to an existing banner message:

set message type banner msgvalue "Text for Next Line" line on

Note - To add an empty line enter a space instead of text:

set message type banner msgvalue " " on

To disable an existing banner message:

set message type banner off

To enable an existing banner message again:

set message type banner on
