Deployment Types

There are two types of centrally managed deployments:

• Small-scale deployment - Configure between 1 and 25 Check Point Appliance gateways using SmartConsole. You can then manage device settings from SmartProvisioning.

• Large-scale deployment - Configure over 25 Check Point Appliance gateways using a SmartLSM profile and SmartProvisioning, or using a configuration file that is stored on a USB drive.

For both deployment types, you must configure objects and other elements in SmartConsole and in SmartProvisioning.
