Third-Party Anti-Virus Scanning Exclusion

When you install Endpoint Security VPN Client for Windows on a device that already has third-party anti-virus software installed, it is recommended to exclude certain files from the anti-virus scans.

To add exclusions to the Anti-Virus scan:

Exclude these folders:

• C:\Program Files\CheckPoint\

• C:\Program Files (x86)\CheckPoint\

• C:\ProgramData\Check Point\

• C:\ProgramData\CheckPoint\

Exclude these Window registries:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\CheckPoint\

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\CheckPoint\

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\CheckPoint\

Exclude these drivers:

The drivers in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ must only be excluded if the Anti-Virus causes an issue with them.

• Path - C:\Windows\System32\drivers\

• PowerShell command to list the files in: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\ that belong to Check Point:

  cd C:\Windows\System32\drivers\

  Get-ChildItem | Format-List -Property VersionInfo
