Configuring Cloning Groups in Gaia Clish

Warning - The R82.10 version hardens the authentication in the Cloning Group (PMTR-116161).

In these scenarios:

  • You upgraded to R82.10 from the R82 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator Take 43 or lower (or from the R82 General Availability version).

  • You upgraded to R82.10 from the R81.20 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator Take 118 or lower (or from the R81.20 General Availability version).

you must follow these steps in each existing Cloning Group:

  1. Make sure the R82.10 release is installed on each Cloning Group Member.

  2. On each Cloning Group Member, enter a Cloning Group password - enter the current password again or a new password

  3. On each Cloning Group Member, re-synchronize the Cloning Group.

Important:

  • If you configure a Cloning Group and ISP Redundancy on a Security Gateway / Cluster, then you must enable the Gaia feature "Kernel Routes". See the R82.10 Gaia Advanced Routing Administration Guide.

  • After you add, configure, or delete features, run the "save config" command to save the settings permanently. Scalable Platforms save the changes automatically.

  • Scalable Platform Security Groups do not support this feature (Known Limitation MBS-4756).

Note - When run from the cadmin account, these commands apply to all members of the Gaia group.

Cloning Group Modes

You can create Cloning Groups in either Manual mode, or ClusterXL mode.
