Enabling IPv6 on Gaia

IPv6 is automatically enabled, if you configure IPv6 addresses in the GaiaClosed Check Point security operating system that combines the strengths of both SecurePlatform and IPSO operating systems. First Time Configuration Wizard.

If you did not configure IPv6 addresses, you can manually enable the IPv6 support in Gaia later.

With a web browser, connect to Gaia PortalClosed Web interface for the Check Point Gaia operating system. at:

https://<IP address of Gaia Management Interface>

If you changed the default port of Gaia Portal from 443, then you must also enter it (https://<IP address>:<Port>).

From the navigation tree, click System Management > System Configuration.

In the IPv6 Support section, select On.

Click Apply.

When prompted, select Yes to reboot.

Important - IPv6 support is not available until you reboot.

Connect to the command line on Gaia.

Log in to Gaia ClishClosed The name of the default command line shell in Check Point Gaia operating system. This is a restricted shell (role-based administration controls the number of commands available in the shell)..

Enable the IPv6 support:

set ipv6-state on

Save the changes:

save config

Reboot:

reboot

Important - IPv6 support is not available until you reboot.
