Configuring IPv4 OSPFv2 in Gaia Clish

Important:

  • To see the available "set" commands for IPv4 OSPFv2, enter in Gaia Clish:

    set ospf[Esc][Esc]

  • To see the available "show" commands for IPv4 OSPFv2, enter in Gaia Clish:

    show ospf[Esc][Esc]

Procedure

  1. Connect to the command line.

  2. Log in to Gaia Clish.

  3. Configure the Router ID.

    See Configuring IPv4 OSPFv2 Router ID.

  4. Optional: Configure additional OSPF Areas (in addition to the backbone area).

  5. Configure the Global Options.

    See Configuring IPv4 OSPFv2 Global Options in Gaia Clish.

  6. Optional: For each OSPF Area, you can add one or more IPv4 address ranges, if you want to reduce the number of routing entries that the OSPF Area advertises into the OSPF backbone.

    Note - To prevent an address range from being advertised into the backbone, select the option Restrict for the address range

  7. Configure OSPF Interfaces.

  8. Optional: Configure the OSPF Instances.

  9. Configure OSPF Virtual Links for any area that does not connect directly to the backbone area.

  10. Save the configuration:

    save config
