Network Interfaces

GaiaClosed Check Point security operating system that combines the strengths of both SecurePlatform and IPSO operating systems. supports these network interface types:

  • Ethernet physical interfaces

  • Alias (Secondary IP addresses for different interface types. This is not supported in ClusterXL.)

  • VLAN

  • VxLAN

  • Bond

  • Bridge

  • Loopback

  • 6in4 tunnel

  • GRE

  • PPPoE

Note - When you add, delete or make changes to interface IP addresses, it is possible that when you use the Get Topology option in SmartConsoleClosed Check Point GUI application used to manage a Check Point environment - configure Security Policies, configure devices, monitor products and events, install updates, and so on. in the Security GatewayClosed Dedicated Check Point server that runs Check Point software to inspect traffic and enforce Security Policies for connected network resources. or ClusterClosed Two or more Security Gateways that work together in a redundant configuration - High Availability, or Load Sharing. object, the incorrect topology is shown.
