In SmartConsole Check Point GUI application used to manage a Check Point environment - configure Security Policies, configure devices, monitor products and events, install updates, and so on., you can configure a Security Gateway Dedicated Check Point server that runs Check Point software to inspect traffic and enforce Security Policies for connected network resources., that when it fails to send its logs to one Log Server Dedicated Check Point server that runs Check Point software to store and process logs., it will send its logs to a secondary Log Server. To support this configuration, you can add Log Servers to a single SmartEvent Correlation Unit SmartEvent software component on a SmartEvent Server that analyzes logs and detects events.. In this way, the SmartEvent Correlation Unit gets an uninterrupted stream of logs from both servers and continues to correlate all logs.
