Description

This command shows the status of specific processes on the Multi-Domain Server Dedicated Check Point server that runs Check Point software to host virtual Security Management Servers called Domain Management Servers. Synonym: Multi-Domain Security Management Server. Acronym: MDS. and Domain Management Servers Virtual Security Management Server that manages Security Gateways for one Domain, as part of a Multi-Domain Security Management environment. Syntax

mdsstat [-h] [-m] [<Name or IP Address of Domain Management Server>]

Parameters

Parameter	Description
`-h`	Displays help message.
`-m`	Test status for Multi-Domain Server only.
`<Name or IP address of Domain Management Server>`	Specifies the Domain Management Server Check Point Single-Domain Security Management Server or a Multi-Domain Security Management Server. by its name or IPv4 address.

Possible Statuses of Processes

Status	Description
`up`	The process is up.
`down`	The process is down State of a Cluster Member during a failure when one of the Critical Devices reports its state as "problem": In ClusterXL, applies to the state of the Security Gateway component; in 3rd-party / OPSEC cluster, applies to the state of the State Synchronization mechanism. A Cluster Member in this state does not process any traffic passing through cluster..
`pnd`	The process is pending initialization.
`init`	The process is initializing.
`N/A`	The process's PID is not yet available.
`N/R`	The process is not relevant for this Multi-Domain Server.
