Configuring IPv6 OSPFv3 Areas in Gaia Portal

Important - In a ClusterClosed Two or more Security Gateways that work together in a redundant configuration - High Availability, or Load Sharing., you must configure all the Cluster Members in the same way.

Configuring a Normal Area

  1. From the left navigation tree, click Advanced Routing > OSPF.

  2. In the Areas section, click Add.

  3. In the Area field, enter the OSPFv3 Area ID.

  4. In the Area Type field, select Normal.

  5. In the Address Ranges section, add the applicable IPv6 address ranges to be advertised into the backbone area.

  6. In the Stub Networks section, add the applicable stub networks.

  7. Click Save.

Configuring a Stub Area

  1. From the left navigation tree, click Advanced Routing > OSPF.

  2. In the Areas section, click Add.

  3. In the Area field, enter the OSPFv3 Area ID.

  4. In the Area Type field, select Stub.

  5. In the Cost for Default Route field, enter the routing cost associated with the default route for this area.

  6. The Import Summary Routes option controls if this area is Totally-Stubby.

  7. In the Address Ranges section, add the applicable IPv4 address ranges to be advertised into the backbone area.

  8. In the Stub Networks section, add the applicable stub networks.

  9. Click Save.
