Description

Enables the IPSClosed Check Point Software Blade on a Security Gateway that inspects and analyzes packets and data for numerous types of risks (Intrusion Prevention System). Software BladeClosed Specific security solution (module): (1) On a Security Gateway, each Software Blade inspects specific characteristics of the traffic (2) On a Management Server, each Software Blade enables different management capabilities. on-the-fly, if it was disabled with the "ips off" command.

Syntax

ips on [-n]

Example 1

[Expert@MyGW:0]# ips on

IPS is enabled

Please note that for the configuration to apply for connections from existing templates, you have to run this command with -n flag which deletes existing templates.

Without '-n', it will fully take effect in a few minutes.
