Understanding IKE Phase2 Encryption

You can choose whether to use the encryption properties defined for all users in the VPN—Advanced sub page of the Remote Access page of the Global Properties window or define your own properties in this window.

Encryption ensures the data remains exclusive to the communicating parties.

Data Integrity methods ensure that the data has not been altered during transit.

IKE Phase2 Encryption Options

• Encryption Algorithm - selects one of the algorithms from the drop-down list.
• Data Integrity - selects the cryptographic checksum method to be used for ensuring data integrity.
