Understanding HTTP Methods

Web Security divides the HTTP methods into three groups: Standard safe (GET, HEAD and POST), standard unsafe (the other standard HTTP methods), and WebDAV. By default, all methods are blocked other than the standard safe methods.

HTTP Method Block Options

Block Default HTTP Methods - Block standard Safe, Unsafe and WebDav methods for this Web server.
Block selected HTTP methods (configure globally from Web Security) - Select this option to block specified methods.
