Host Name

You set the host name (system name) during initial configuration. You can change the name.

To show the host name:

The host name appears in the header of the Gaia Portal.

To change the host name:

Step	Description
1	In the navigation tree, click Network Management > Host and DNS.
2	In the System Name section, enter: Host Name - The network name of the Gaia device. Domain Name - Optional. For example, example.com.

Configure the host name of your platform.

Syntax

• To configure a hostname:

  set hostname <Name of Host>

• To show the configured hostname:

  show hostname

  Important - After you add, configure, or delete features, run the save config command to save the settings permanently.
