Restoring a Factory Default Image on Check Point Appliance

Factory default images on Check Point appliances are created automatically when you install or upgrade an appliance to another release. You can restore your Check Point appliance to the factory default image for a specified release.

Note - This procedure overwrites all existing configuration settings. We recommend that you create a snapshot image before you restore a factory default image.

To restore a factory default image in Gaia Portal:

In the navigation tree, click Maintenance > Snapshot Management.

Use the revert option.

Follow the instructions on the screen.

In the navigation tree, click Maintenance > Shut Down.

Click Reboot.

To restore a factory default image in Gaia Clish:

Connect to the command line on your appliance.

Log in to Gaia Clish.

Run:

gaia> set fcd revert<SPACE><TAB>

gaia> set fcd revert <Name of Default Image>

Follow the instructions on the screen.

Reboot:

gaia> reboot
