Enabling IPv6 on Gaia

IPv6 is automatically enabled if you configure IPv6 addresses in the GaiaClosed Check Point security operating system that combines the strengths of both SecurePlatform and IPSO operating systems. First Time Configuration Wizard.

Configuring IPv6 Support in Gaia Portal

With a web browser, connect to Gaia Portal at:

https://<IP address of Gaia Management Interface>

From the navigation tree, click System Management > System Configuration.

In the IPv6 Support section, select On.

Click Apply.

When prompted, select Yes to reboot.

Important - IPv6 support is not available until you reboot.

Configuring IPv6 Support in Gaia Clish

Note - You must run these commands in Gaia gClishClosed The name of the global command line shell in Check Point Gaia operating system for Security Gateway Modules. Commands you run in this shell apply to all Security Gateway Module in the Security Group. of the applicable Security Group.

  • To configure IPv6 support:

    set ipv6-state {on | off}

    Important - This change requires reboot.

  • To show the state of IPv6 support:

    show ipv6-state
