IPS Scheduled Update
What can I do here?
Use this window to:
- Enable scheduled updates for IPS
- Set a number of retries if update fails
- Configure a policy install after a successful update

Scheduling Updates
You can change the default automatic schedule for when updates are automatically downloaded and installed. If you have Security Gateways in different time zones, they are not synchronized when one updates and the other did not yet update.
To configure Threat Prevention scheduled updates:
- In SmartConsole, go to the page and select .
- In the section of the Threat Prevention Policy, click .
- In the section for the applicable Software Blade, click .
The window opens.
- Make sure is selected.
- Click .
- In the window that opens, set the time and the frequency:
- - Every day
- - Select days of the week
- - Select dates of the month
- Optional, for IPS only:
- Select lets you configure how many tries the Scheduled Update makes if it does not complete successfully the first time.
- Select - automatically installs the policy on the devices you select after the IPS update is completed. Click to select these devices.
