Always stop the LiveUSB Linux operating system before you remove the USB stick from your laptop computer:
Press Ctrl + Alt + F1 to go back to the GUI.
Select System > Shutdown.
Alternatively, you can run >poweroff from the command line.
It is only necessary to create a LiveUSB stick once. To install a different 61000/41000 Security System version, replace the Check Point ISO image on the LiveUSB stick. You can save up to four different ISO images on it.
The LiveUSB stick is a fully functional Linux computer. You can run all standard Linux commands and utilities on it.
Insert the LiveUSB stick in your laptop and make sure that it works correctly before you start upgrade procedure.
If the LiveUSB upgrade does not work correctly, manually install the ISO image from the USB stick. In this case, it is necessary to install the ISO image on each SGM individually.
