Power Supply Unit (PSU)

Problem The blue LED on a PSU is lit.

Cause The PSU is not correctly assembled.

Resolution Push the insertion latch to make sure all PSUs are correctly attached to the Chassis.

Validation

1. Run:

   > asg stat -v

2. Make sure the number of PSUs is correct.

Problem After Chassis RMA: Rightmost Chassis components (SGMs, PSUs) are not monitored.

Cause The DC PEMs are missing.

Resolution Move the DC PEMs from the old to the new Chassis.

Validation Make sure that all Chassis components are monitored.

Problem asg diag reports that a PSU is misplaced.

Cause Telkor PSUs must be placed from upper right to bottom left.

Resolution

1. Place 3 Telkor PSUs in the upper tray and 2 in the bottom tray.
2. Keep the far left bay in bottom tray empty and covered with blank.

Validation asg diag does not warn about PSU misplacement.
