Security Switch Module (SSM) CLI

The Security Switch Module (SSM):

• Distributes network traffic to the Security Gateway Modules (SGMs)
• Forwards traffic from the SGMs to the network
• Shares the load amongst the SGMs

The SSMs and SGMs communicate automatically through SNMP requests. You can also connect directly to the SSM and run commands.

You can connect to the SSM CLI through:

• A serial port on the front panel of the SSM.
• A telnet session from one of the SGMs
