List of All Resolved Issues and New Features in R81.20 SmartConsole

In some scenarios, when an authorized administrator loads the information about a submitted change, the change report may get stuck.

The "High Availability" section in the Security Gateway Editor > ClusterXL > Cluster Member Priority may be missing.

In the Threat Emulation first time activation flow, there is no option to ignore warnings. The "Next" button is disabled.

After configuring Geo Protection in SmartConsole as instructed in sk180476, Geo policy settings may be not visible. Refer to sk182619.

When fetching users from the LDAP Server and the Server that contains no users to fetch, SmartDashboard displays a misleading error message "SmartDashboard not able to connect to XXXX" .

In multi-site Multi-Domain Security Management environments, High Availability synchronization fails after making a SmartTask change in a local Domain.

UPDATE: In the Threat Prevention rule, the "New" button was added to the "Add new items" picker. This button allows users to create new objects directly within the field.

SmartConsole may freeze when selecting a client under Security Gateway object > Identity Awareness tab > RADIUS Accounting Settings.

Expiration date may not be shown correctly for expired user certificates in the User view.

Management Server / Log Server may not delete old log files based on the disk space threshold configured in the Management Server / Log Server object > Logs > Storage. Refer to sk182048.

UPDATE: Added the ability to skip the suggested SmartConsole update version.

When attempting to uninstall the Threat Policy on a Quantum Spark appliance that is inaccessible, the uninstallation process fails instead of entering a pending state.

In the Threat Emulation tab within the Threat Prevention profile, customizing the file types for the emulation location or action, may result in a failure. This issue persists regardless of whether you make any new changes or not.

In rare scenarios, Extension content in the Policy tab is not visible.

When searching within objects in the Search field, the counter of the found items (near the Search field) may not be updated from the previous search.

NEW: This Jumbo Hotfix Take introduces support for new Quantum Force appliances 19100 / 9800 / 9700 / 9400 / 9300 / 9200 / 9100 appliances. Refer to sk181698 and to sk180520.

UPDATE: Improved the SmartConsole Extensions:

• Added an ability to receive context updates without reloading the page.

• Added an option to pre-approve the API command execution when installing an extension.

UPDATE: In SmartTasks, the option of sending a Change Report as an attachment for the "After Install Policy" event is now removed. Refer to sk182269.

In some scenarios, after removing multiple objects from a cell of a rule in SmartConsole, some of the objects are not removed.

When discarding changes made in a session in the Global Domain, the "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error is displayed and SmartConsole may unexpectedly close.

NEW: Added support for Quantum Spark Appliances 1900/2000 for EA (Early Availability) customers.

UPDATE: The SmartConsole application now displays its version when hovering over it in the Windows taskbar.

UPDATE: When installing a policy that overrides the existing policy of the Security Gateway, an additional input verification is now implemented to mitigate the risk of human error.

After importing or deleting the SNORT protections in SmartConsole > IPS Protections view, the view does not show the change.

After copying and pasting a large amount of rules or rules with many objects, some of the pasted rules may not be saved in the Security Management Server database and may disappear from SmartConsole.

In the Object Explorer view, the "Tags" column may be empty even though the objects have tags.

When adding a route using vsx_provisioning_tool and the "interface_name" option, this route cannot be removed.

When running the Fetch branches action in the LDAP Account Unit window, non-existing branches may be removed without a warning message.

In the Traffic tab, under the "Device License Information" view, the "Protocol" column shows the timer (the same as the "Duration" column) instead of the Service/Protocol.

A disconnected Endpoint client may get rules for its state even without an initial connection when it should just get the default rules for the whole organization.

An incorrect timestamp may be shown for logs in a predefined time filter.

In rare scenarios, when adding an HTTPS inspection certificate in SmartConsole, a red X appears in the picker, and a "System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException" message is displayed.

Adding a comment that contains non-ASCII characters to a User Certificate causes the User Certificate not to be presented in SmartConsole.

In rare scenarios, SmartConsole may close when opening a log in the Logs view.

NEW: Added support for Jumbo Hotfix installation on Check Point 19200, 29100, and 29200 appliances. Refer to sk180520.

• Added support for 1535 / 1555, 1575 / 1595 Quantum Spark Pro appliances.

UPDATE: It is now possible to select the UserCheck message that appears in case of a suspected phishing attempt.

• Prevent - Select the UserCheck message that opens for the Prevent action.

• The default message is Zero Phishing Blocked.

Editing an existing entry of a VPN S2S granular encryption entry may fail with a validation error.

When updating the name or comment of an Access Policy rule and scrolling down or up in the policy view, another rule may be shown as edited.

When selecting "This Week" in the Logs view, logs from the wrong time period may be seen. This can happen if the computer running SmartConsole is in a region where the workweek does not start on Monday.

In some scenarios, when adding a new NAT rule, the selected field of the rule may appear as duplicated.

During the SmartConsole launch, SmartConsole unnecessarily attempts to query the Documentation Server - sc1.checkpoint.com.

In the Logs & Monitor view, the "Report Log To Check Point" action fails when reporting IPS logs.

When searching the content of a Data Center object that is large, SmartConsole may freeze or close.

UPDATE: Added support for the "Search by name" filter in Threat Prevention > IPS Protections > Core Protections > See Details.

In a Multi-Domain Server environment, where a VSX object and a Virtual System (VS) are on separate Domains, editing the Virtual System's topology may cause SmartConsole to crash.
