Installation Instructions

Note - Either get the offline package from Check Point Support, or export the package from a source Gaia server, on which this package was already downloaded / installed (for package export instructions, refer to sk92449 - section "(4-D) "How to ..."").

  1. Download the Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator package to your computer.

  2. Install the latest build of CPUSE Agent from sk92449.

  3. With a web browser, connect to the Gaia Portal on your Gaia server.

  4. Navigate to the Upgrades (CPUSE) section > click the Status and Actions page.

  5. Import the Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator package:

    1. In the upper right corner, click the Import Package button.

    2. In the Import Package window, click Browse....

    3. Select the Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator package (either an offline TAR/TGZ file, or an exported TAR file).

    4. Click Import.

  6. Above the list of all software packages, click the Showing Recommended packages button > select All.

  7. Make sure this Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator does not have conflicts with other installed CPUSE packages:

    1. In the list of packages, select the package Check Point R<version> Jumbo hotfix T<number>.

    2. From the top toolbar, click the More button > click Verifier (or right-click the package and click Verifier).

  8. Install this Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator:

    1. In the list of packages, select the package Check Point R<version> Jumbo hotfix T<number>.

    2. From the top toolbar, click the Install Update button.

  1. Download the Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator package to your computer.

  2. Transfer the Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator package to the Gaia server (to some directory).

  3. Install the latest build of CPUSE Agent from sk92449.

  4. Connect to the command line on the Gaia server.

  5. Log in.

  6. If your default shell is the Expert mode, go to Gaia Clish:

    [Expert@HostName:0]# clish

  7. Get the lock for the Gaia configuration database:

    HostName:0> lock database override

  8. Import the Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator package from the hard disk:

    HostName:0> installer import local /<Full_Path>/<Package_File_Name>.TGZ_or_TAR

  9. Show the imported packages:

    HostName:0> show installer packages imported

  10. Make sure this Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator does not have conflicts with other installed CPUSE packages:

    HostName:0> installer verify[Press SPACE][Press TAB]

    HostName:0> installer verify <Package_Number>

  11. Install this Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator package:

    HostName:0> installer install <Package_Number>

Uninstall Instructions

Important - This Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator removes all its packages during uninstall.

  1. Get the latest build of CPUSE Agent:

    • If the Gaia server is connected to the Internet, do one of these:

    • If the Gaia server is not connected to the Internet:

      Manually install the latest build of CPUSE Agent from sk92449.

  2. With a web browser, connect to the Gaia Portal on your Gaia server.

  3. Navigate to the Upgrades (CPUSE) section > click the Status and Actions page.

  4. Above the list of all software packages, click the Showing Recommended packages button > select All.

  5. Right-click the Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator package Check Point R<version> Jumbo hotfix T<number> > click Uninstall.

  6. A warning appears that after this uninstall, the server reboots automatically.

    Click OK to start the uninstall.

  1. Get the latest build of CPUSE Agent:

    • If the Gaia server is connected to the Internet, do one of these:

    • If the Gaia server is not connected to the Internet:

      Manually install the latest build of CPUSE Agent from sk92449.

  2. Connect to the command line on the Gaia server.

  3. Log in.

  4. If your default shell is the Expert mode, go to Gaia Clish:

    [Expert@HostName:0]# clish

  5. Get the lock for the Gaia configuration database:

    HostName:0> lock database override

  6. Uninstall the Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator package:

    HostName:0> installer uninstall[Press SPACE][Press TAB]

    HostName:0> installer uninstall <Package_Number>

    The progress in percentage appears in Gaia Clish.

  7. Server reboots automatically.
