Slack is a cloud-based messaging and collaboration tool.

Prerequisite

Workspace Admin or Workspace Owner role in Slack.

Integrating Slack

Slack uses OAuth2 authorization to integrate with Harmony SaaS. OAuth2 authorization is a protocol that allows users to grant third-party applications limited access to their resources without sharing their credentials.

Note - The integration is disabled if the Workspace Admin or Workspace Owner role is no longer associated with the user who installed the integration. For example, when the user quits the organization.

To integrate Slack with Harmony SaaS:

1. Access the Harmony SaaS Administrator Portal.

2. From the top banner, click Integration Manager.

   

3. In the Slack widget, click Connect.

   

   The Slack window appears.

   

4. Click Connect.

   The Slack workspace window appears.

5. Review the permissions for Harmony SaaS and click Allow.

   

6. In the Harmony SaaS Administrator Portal, the Successfully connected message appears.
