Upgrading an SD-WAN Security Gateway
This section applies to:

Local upgrade with CPUSE on a Security Gateway / Cluster Member.

Central installation from SmartConsole onto a Security Gateway / Cluster object.

Central installation with the Central Deployment Tool (sk111158) onto a Security Gateway / Cluster object.

Upgrading the Current Version
You can upgrade an existing SD-WAN Security Gateway / Cluster by installing an upgrade package with any supported method.
Clean Install of a New Version
You can "upgrade" an existing SD-WAN Security Gateway / Cluster by performing a Clean Install of a new version with any supported method.
There are two options:

If you do not plan to configure this Security Gateway / Cluster for SD-WAN again, then you must follow this action plan:

Uninstall the Nano-Agent from the Security Gateway / each Cluster Member with this command in the Expert mode:
cpnano -u

Perform a Clean Install of a new version on the Security Gateway / each Cluster Member.

If you plan to configure this Security Gateway / Cluster for SD-WAN again, then you must follow this action plan:

Perform a Clean Install of a new version on the Security Gateway / each Cluster Member.

Configure the Security Gateway / each Cluster Member for SD-WAN again.
