SSO Enforcement

SSOClosed Single Sign-On (SSO) - A session/user authentication process that permits a user to enter one name and password in order to access multiple applications. enforcement determines whether users are required to authenticate using Single Sign-On (SSO).

  • When SSO enforcement is disabled (default), SSO is optional.

Users can authenticate using any login method supported by the portal, as described in How to Log in to your Account.

  • When SSO enforcement is enabled, SSO authentication is mandatory.

When SSO enforcement is enabled:

  • All users must sign in using SSO.

  • Local login with username and password is blocked for all users, except Primary Administrators.

  • Primary Administrators are not subject to SSO enforcement and can always sign in with a username and password if required.

Important:

  • Enforcing SSO is recommended to ensure centralized identity management and reduce the risk associated with local credentials.

  • Disabling SSO enforcement weakens authentication controls and should be avoided in production environments.
