Licensing the Product

When you create an account in the Infinity Portal and access the service, you get a free 30-day trial. After the 30-day trial period, you must purchase a software license to use the product. To purchase a license, you must create a Check Point User Center account. For instructions, see sk22716.

Once you create a User Center account, contact your Check Point sales representative to purchase a license.

If you have already licensed the product, you can view your current contract (license) information from the Infinity Portal > Global Settings > Contracts page.

Note - The policy recommendations are different in trial and production environments. When you license the product:

  • The system automatically updates the default values and settings in the Global policy to the recommended values. The custom changes remain unchanged.

  • The custom policies automatically inherit the updates from the Global policy.

  • All the policy changes are recorded in Settings > Audit Trail.
