Deploying Quantum Edge VNF on the VeloCloud Appliance

After creating the VNF profile is created, it is necessary to deploy the VNF. After the deployment, you will have a working VNF with Quantum Edge.

To deploy the VNF:

1. Select Configure > Edges > Select the Edge > Devices > Security VNF.

2. Click Edit.

   The Edge VNF Configuration window opens.

3. Enter the information for these fields.

   VLAN	Select the VLAN to which the VNF is to be connected. For more information about the VLAN in VeloCloud appliances, refer to the VMware guide in sk166422.
   Management IP	The VNF management IP
   Hostname	The VNF host name
   Deployment State	If the VNF is one of these: Downloaded, deployed and powered off Downloaded, deployed and powered on
   Security VNF	Select the VNF profile created in Creating a VNF Service Profile. To create a new VNF profile form, select New VNF Service.

4. Click Update.

5. To apply the changes to Edge, click Save Changes.

Note - VeloCloud uses SNMP for cluster health test. SNMP should be allowed, and SNMP service on the VNF should be up. Refer to sk90860 > section (II) SNMP configuration.
