Configuring Security Management Server

After you deploy the Security Management ServerClosed Dedicated Check Point server that runs Check Point software to manage the objects and policies in a Check Point environment within a single management Domain. Synonym: Single-Domain Security Management Server., it is necessary to do these configuration setup steps:

  1. Make sure there is Internet Connectivity.

  2. Make sure the required port is open.

  3. Install the necessary Jumbo Hotfix AccumulatorClosed Collection of hotfixes combined into a single package. Acronyms: JHA, JHF, JHFA..

  4. Install the MMLP HotfixClosed Software package installed on top of the current software version to fix a wrong or undesired behavior, and to add a new behavior..

  5. Install the CloudGuard Metered License Solution.

Installing the Required Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator

If the required Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator, as described in Prerequisites , is not already installed, then do these steps:

  1. Log in to the GaiaClosed Check Point security operating system that combines the strengths of both SecurePlatform and IPSO operating systems. WebUI (https://<your-manamement-ip>).

  2. Navigate to Status and Actions.

  3. In Packages, look for most recent Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator.

  4. If no Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator is shown, click Showing Recommended Packages and change to All.

    Note - If you still do not see a Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator, click Check For Updates.

  5. Select the Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator and click Install Update.
