Overview

CPUSE saves its actions in the event log.

With a web browser, connect to Gaia Portal at:

https://<IP address of Gaia Management Interface>

If you changed the default port of Gaia Portal from 443, then you must also enter it (https://<IP address>:<Port>).

Important - On Scalable Platforms (Maestro and Chassis), you must connect to the Gaia Portal of the applicable Security Group.

 In the left navigation tree, click Software Updates > Available Updates.

In the top left, click Event log.

This window shows logs from the last 10 minutes.

In the top right corner, click Download full report.

The default file name is: DA_UI.log

Important - On Scalable Platforms (Maestro and Chassis), you must run the applicable commands in the Expert mode on the applicable Security Group.

If your default shell is Gaia Clish / Gaia gClish, then go to the Expert mode:

Refer to these log files:

Log File

Description

/opt/CPInstLog/DA_UI.log

  • Contains general messages for users.

  • This log file is not rotated.

  • The last 10 minutes of the this log file appear in Gaia Portal:

    Software Updates section > Available Updates page > Event log button.

/opt/CPInstLog/DeploymentAgent.log

  • Contains detailed technical log for administrators and for troubleshooting.

  • The CPUSE Deployment Agent keeps a maximum of 10 rotated files:

    • DeploymentAgent.log.1

    • DeploymentAgent.log.2

    • ...

    • DeploymentAgent.log.10
