Chassis Management Modules (CMMs) for the 64000, 44000, and 61000 Chassis
The Chassis Management Module A hardware component that controls and monitors 60000 / 40000 Appliance (Chassis) operation such as, fan speed, Chassis and module temperature, and component hot-swapping. Acronym: CMM. (CMM) controls and monitors the Chassis operation.
This includes fan speed, chassis and module temperature, and component hot-swapping.
To insert a Chassis Management Module:

On the CMM, remove the tape on the battery. This tape protects the battery life before installation. |

Open the upper latch. |

Insert the Chassis Management Module into the allocated slot.

Close the latch. |

Tighten the two thumb screws. |
||

After power up, all LEDs must light up for 1-2 seconds. The ACT and PWR LEDs continue to show green after the other LEDs turn off. |
