Chassis Management Modules (CMMs) for the 64000, 44000, and 61000 Chassis

The Chassis Management ModuleClosed A hardware component that controls and monitors 60000 / 40000 Appliance (Chassis) operation such as, fan speed, Chassis and module temperature, and component hot-swapping. Acronym: CMM. (CMM) controls and monitors the Chassis operation.

On the CMM, remove the tape on the battery.

This tape protects the battery life before installation.

Open the upper latch.

Insert the Chassis Management Module into the allocated slot.

Best Practice - If you have only one CMM, we recommend you insert it into the lower Chassis slot.

Close the latch.

Tighten the two thumb screws.

After power up, all LEDs must light up for 1-2 seconds.

The ACT and PWR LEDs continue to show green after the other LEDs turn off.
