3920 and 3950
The 3920 and 3950 appliances have an AC power adapter. If necessary, you can replace it.

Important - Make sure you are electromagnetically grounded before you install, uninstall, or replace a power adapter if it is installed in a rack. ESD (electrostatic discharge) can damage the appliance. We recommend using an ESD wrist strap (for example, connect it to an unpainted metal area on your rack). |

Removing an AC Power Adapter

Note - Before you remove a power adapter, we recommend that you make sure that the appliance is shutdown. |
To remove the power adapter in the 3920 / 3950 appliances:

Unscrew the adapter cable connector.

Pull out the power cable.

Disconnect the electrical outlet power cable from the AC adapter.
Installing an AC Power Adapter
To install a replacement power adapter or additional power adapter in 3920 / 3950 appliances:

Plug in the power adapter cable to the DC inlet on the appliance.

Screw the adapter cable connector and lock it tightly.

Insert the power cable into an electrical outlet.
Note - In the 3950 appliance, the corresponding LED (marked 1 and 2) lights up green.
